RETURNS POLICY AND GUIDELINES
At Friendly Hobbies, we try our best for you to be completely satisfied with your purchases. We do what we can to assure you get the exact merchandise you order, and we deliver it in a timely manner. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, we will accept returns within 15 days from the date of purchase under the following guidelines:
Returned merchandise must be in unused/unassembled condition and in its original unopened packaging, and must be returned to us within 15 days from the date of purchase. A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returns unless otherwise agreed to in advance.
Friendly Hobbies does not accept returns on International Orders.
The mounting of upgrade parts, assembled or partially assembled kits, installation and use of Electronics (Gyros, Governors, Batteries, Chargers, etc), charging of batteries, flying of pre-built models, and other similar actions constitutes used merchandise. Friendly Hobbies does NOT accept returns on used merchandise. Friendly Hobbies does not accept any returns on Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries. Any item that has had the package opened will be deemed as used, and will not be accepted for return.
Items that are returned in a condition deemed by Friendly Hobbies as “Not new” due to packaging damage, missing parts, or signs of possible use will be denied return. The customer will be liable for return shipping costs on items not accepted for return. If customer is unwilling to cover return shipping costs, products returned will be discarded at the descretion of Friendly Hobbies.
Friendly Hobbies does not accept returns on ANY electronic items without prior approval.
When packing your order for return, please be sure all the original packing material and instruction papers and/or manuals are included. We will be unable to process your return if parts are missing, or if items are not packed properly to avoid damage to products and their boxes and/or packages.
On authorized returns, shipping charges will only be refunded if the return was due to a shipping error by Friendly Hobbies. All other shipping charges will not be refunded, just the cost of the actual item being returned. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to Friendly Hobbies.
Returns sent COD will also not be accepted.
If you are requesting another item in exchange for returned merchandise, and if that item is a different price, please indicate how you wish to pay or be credited for the difference. (MasterCard, Visa). This exchange is only valid for new items being returned to us within 15 days from the date of purchase. Returned items are subject to a 15% restock fee, which can be waived by Friendly Hobbies at our discretion if the return item is being exchanged for an item of equal or higher value. Equipment that has been deemed as used by Friendly Hobbies are not eligible for exchange.
If a package has been damaged in shipping, please REFUSE the delivery. If you have already accepted a package, and then discover that it has been damaged, please call us as soon as possible. Be sure to save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods. The carrier may wish to inspect it before processing the claim. Please do not return damaged-in-shipment merchandise to us yourself as it could affect your claim and keep you from receiving credit for the damaged return.
Since packaging can easily be damaged in shipping with no damage occurring to the actual product, Friendly Hobbies honors damage claims for the actual product/item only. Friendly Hobbies is not responsible for damage in shipping to the shipping carton or display packaging for an item, only damage to the item itself.
Friendly Hobbies accepts no liability for damages than can occur during the delivery of international shipments (orders shipped outside the 50 US States).
Please check your order and items as soon as it is received. If you discover that an item is defective PRIOR to use, please call us for return instructions. In some cases, we will accept returns and will exchange defective items for like replacements. Defects found AFTER the product has been in use are covered under the manufacturer\'s warranty, and need to be claimed directly with the manufacturer or their assigned agent. These items will then be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer/agents discretion. All products deemed defective via an issued Recall or Service Notice from the manufacturer must be returned directly to the manufacturer for servicing or replacement per manufacturer’s instructions.
All warranty issues for Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries must be handled directly with the manufacturer of the battery.
Customers will be liable for all return shipping costs on returns sent directly to Friendly Hobbies that are deemed to fall into this category. If customer is unwilling to cover return shipping expense, products returned will be discarded at the discretion of Friendly Hobbies.
For international customers (shipments outside the 50 US States), If an item received is found to be defective, the international customer is liable for all shipping costs to (and from) the manufacturer for warranty coverage and claims. Friendly Hobbies will not accept returns on used items from International customers for any reason. All warranty claims and or product replacement requests must be handled directly with the manufacturer.
If you feel an order has been lost in transit, please e-mail or call us and we will track your shipment to determine if it is in fact lost. Credit will be issued for the missing merchandise after we have obtained the claim number from the carrier.
Should you receive an item that is missing a part, please contact the manufacture directly.
If an order is missing an item, please contact us as soon as possible with information and we will review and send missing items as needed.
For International customers with missing items, a refund for the missing items will be issued as needed. Friendly Hobbies does not re-ship missing items for International orders.
Friendly Hobbies reserves the right, at any time, to modify, amend, alter or update these Terms and Conditions, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, amendments, alterations or updates.
Order Modification or Cancellation Procedure
IMPORTANT: You MUST call and speak to one of our sales representatives for all order changes and cancellations.
Please no e-mails or voice messages as orders in most cases will be past the modification or cancellation stage prior to the processing of your message and conditions below will apply.
All orders are automatically processed through our secure on-line ordering system, so the fulfillment process and payment processing for your order begins as soon as you finalize your order with us.
While we understand that there are times where an order might need to be changed, modified, or in extreme circumstances cancelled, we are sometimes unable provided these services free of charge depending on the orders current fulfillment status.
With regards to order modification or cancellation, we adhere to the following policies:
- If you speak to a representative via phone to modify your order PRIOR to the order being sent to our warehouse for shipment, we will gladly modify your order as needed with no additional charge.
- If you speak to a representative via phone to modify your order AFTER the order has been sent to our warehouse for completion, a 10% order change fee will apply.
- If you speak to a representative via phone to modify your order AFTER the order has been shipped, it is impossible to change or retrieve your order.
In this situation, you would then need to file an on-line RETURN, and return the order or items in need of change at the customer’s expense. All applicable Returns restocking fees will apply.
- If you speak to a representative via phone to cancel your order PRIOR to the order being sent to our warehouse for shipment, we will gladly modify your order as needed with no additional charge.
- If you speak to a representative via phone to cancel your order AFTER the order has been sent to our warehouse for completion, a 10% order cancellation fee will apply.
- If you speak to a representative via phone to cancel your order AFTER the order has been shipped, it is impossible to cancel or retrieve your order.
- In this situation, you would then need to file an on-line RETURN, and return the order at the customer’s expense. All applicable Returns restocking fees will apply.
- Any order that is REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed all of the applicable fees listed above - including restocking, cancellation and other applicable fees at the customer’s expense
Proper assembly and use procedures are vital to the safe, reliable operation of all radio controlled vehicles as well as the personal safety of those performing the operation. Standard safety procedures and precautions (including following of AMA, ROAR, and other organization guidelines) should be followed at all times to eliminate the possibility of personal injury or compromise safety.

Under no circumstance, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall Friendly Hobbies be liable for any damages that result from the use of, or inability to use, the information, materials or products contained in or purchased from this site. Further, Friendly Hobbies shall have no liability or responsibility for any delay in the delivery, installation or use of the products, as well as the service life of the products, performance, applicability for the use intended, proper installation, or the accuracy of information provided.
